Nature resources used as ornaments

Updated: Aug 15, 2022

If there is a trend that fits perfectly with the new season, it can only be nature-inspired jewellery & accessories. With different shapes, textures and sizes, these finishes offer new and creative perspectives when it comes to ornamenting your style. At Ornamental, we use a selection of hand-picked and sustainable resources to present our Namata collection and allow you to feel closely the force of nature every day.

Find below more info about the finishes that were used to build the amazing pieces in our Namata collection, all available on our website.

Buriti

Also called the "tree of life", Buriti is a native palm that can be found in the northern region of South America, particularly within the Amazon region. Being braided or in straws forms, it adds a touch of nature and elegance to your style.

Featured on a triple row, this handmade necklace gives the layering trend a golden touch. A trio of multiple Buriti straws is presented in different shapes of gold plated textured metal charms, that will give your neckline a bold look.

Arumã

Braided following indigenous techniques from the Kubeo people, rooted in the Amazon region, in South America, the use of Arumã fibre represents the ancestrality and power of the continent original people. It has been historically used in bags and baskets confection, and, most recently, a source of income for the indigenous communities.

Handmade by using Arumã fibre, our Angatu Hand Bag with Arumã Fibre and Denim features a main compartment, silver-tone hardware and it's completed with a magnetic button to hold it in shape.

Turiri and Paxiúba

Tururi fibre consists of a vegetal thread that holds Ubuçu fruits, typical from the Amazon region, in South America. In our Namata collection, it is paired with Paxiúba, a palm tree typical of humid tropical forests, forming a perfect combination and, of course, connection.

Our Angatu Tururi Fibre and Paxiúba Handbag, features sustainable materials from the Amazon region in an innovative layout, this handmade bag presents one main compartment, an internal pocket and it's finished with golden stitching detail.
